Internet Domain Hosting

Where can I report a company for misselling ?
An internet domain hosting company called my place of work informing me that someone had bought upto 10 variations of our company name as domain names (for 10 years for £1000) and had linked them to their own website, therefore all enquiries from our website would be directed to theirs, they said they had put this persons order on hold as because what he was doing was immoral, immediately to me the penny dropped because I know a bit about computers and the internet and knew most domain names can only be held for 2 years and since we are a well established manufacturing firms, most of our custom is local and word of mouth, we probably have not even had sales of upto £1000 through the internet, so I said simply, let him have them, if he is willing to waste £1000 buying domain names under our title he can have them, don't see how buying 1 companies names will make any difference. Since I came off the phone I did a bit of research and have found out, had I gone along with it and being naive enough to listen to them they would have used my card details to rip us off and we would not have even owned the domain names. Even though they didn't catch me out I would like to report this company so it may save other companies money and stress, had a look at the Office of Fair tradings website and cannot submit anything there, does anyone know where I can ? So a bit of advice, if someone called Eazy Web Solutions, Live Web Solutions, 123 Web solutions or anyone with a name like it calls trying to sell in this way, tell them where to go !

Being billed for a dead account?
I just received a $800 bill and notifcation that I'll be sent to collections from an internet/domain hosting company that I have not had an account with since 2004. I don't have the paperwork (!) saying that I wanted this account closed but did obviously request it. I did move my domain because I went somewhere else and they stopped billing me so I thought it was closed as requested. Looking over the account today, there isn't any domain listed in the history with their company but they show I owe them monthly payments since 2004 (before that, my account shows every month being paid on time via paypal, which I no longer use). The email/alerts also show that they haven't even been notifying me until May 2009 that I owe them money. Is there any way to make sense or fight this? I really don't understand what's going on and certainly don't have $800 lying around to pay for services not used :( ETA : And yes, first thing I did was to contact them and ask for more details and well as making a formal/written request to close whatever account they think they have on file for me. I was just wondering if there was anything else for me to do.
